Pada tahun 2105 , di mana teknologi sudah semakin canggih, android bertubuh manusia bernama hiE menjadi bagian dari masyarakat dan mengerjakan tugas-tugas yang tak bisa dilakukan oleh manusia. Endou Arato, berbeda dengan temannya Kenko dan Ryou yang membenci hiE, dia merasa bersimpati pada hiE yang seharusnya hanyalah sebuah benda. Pada suatu malam, Arato mendapatkan serangan dari hujan bunga misterius yang membuat para hiE dan mesin bergerak keluar kendali.
